Dicksonia Direct will replace all Dicksonia antarctica and Dicksonia fibrosa tree ferns up to 1 year after purchase under the following terms and conditions:

 | Every effort must be made to comply with the provided instructions which include planting advice, adequate watering and general care.
| | All tree ferns should be afforded some protection from exposure from wind.
| | Tree ferns should be watered through the crown only during the summer months. It is not necessary to water from October through to April. Over watering during the winter period could lead to the new growth rotting. If there is a dry spell then they can be watered to the sides of the trunk.
| | Where temperature are likely to go below -5 Celsius protection of the crown is highly recommended (i.e the top 18 inches of the trunk). I use a cushion of pine needles about 6 inches thick on the top of the emerging new crown of fronds. This makes sure the new growth is protected from frost damage. Any other form of breathable protection such as horticultural fleece is ideal. N.B.This will 100% ensure survival of your plant.
| | Tree ferns are an evergreen plant but depending on the severity of the winter they will defoliate at around -7 Celsius. This is only a rule of thumb as other factors such as wind chill can also lead to defoliation at higher ground temperatures. |
