 Origin: New Zealand
It is a very distinctive, attractive fern with its long, finely divided delicate looking fronds, which are easily recognisable by the small bulbils which, develop on the upper surface of the fronds. These can be replanted to produce more plants.
It will grow to around 2 to 3 feet in height when mature.
Like so many ferns it is best suited to a damp, shady area. I also notice that this is one of the few ferns that the slugs and snails have a huge appetite for. Small juvenile plants would need to be protected from slugs and snails wheras the larger more mature plants will be alright from the threat.
Be warned this is not meant to be a fully hardy fern but for the past 3 years I have had a plant growing happily away!
