Aloe striatula
Aloe striatula is a strong grower and in time its rambling habit can reach several metres wide. The flowers are fairly large and pendulous, not unlike the flower of the Knifohia. This is the one Aloe that can tolerate extremely low temperatures and will add an exotic look to your garden. This is a very easy to grow plant, requiring very little care. Plant in well-drained rich soil in full sun and you should have no problems We have a number of other Aloes in small numbers available. However none of these species can be said to be reliable hardy. If you choose to plant outdoors never water them. Also suitable for indoors and very easy to keep potted patio plants as there is little or no maintenance needed. Please see list of other species available in small numbers below. In general it is fair to assume that none of these other species would prove hardy out of doors all year around. There is no doubt that with trial and error some may survive but as a rule of thumb this is not the case! |
